California Healthy Kids Survey

Your child is being asked to participate in the California Healthy Kids Survey at school. The survey includes questions about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues, as well as questions about school safety and the learning environment. Student participation in the survey is voluntary. We hope you will give your child permission to participate in the survey so that their opinion and knowledge can be used to improve the school.

2021 Educator Effectiveness Block Grant

Funding for county offices of education, school districts, charter schools, and state special schools for professional learning for teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals that work with pupils, and classified staff that interact with pupils.

Education Protection Account (EPA) Budget

The Education Protection Account (EPA) in K-12 education is a state fund created by Proposition 30 in California, providing schools with additional financial resources to support classroom instruction and essential educational services.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Title IX

Federal Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), implemented at 34 C.F.R. § 106.31, subd. (a), provides that no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, or other education program or activity operated by a recipient which receives federal financial assistance.  Relevant here, Title IX requires school districts to take immediate and appropriate action to investigate when it knows or reasonably should know of a possible Title IX violation.
